Marie English-Arterberry, LCSW, is a highly accomplished leader with an impressive track record spanning nearly 25 years in the field of mental and behavioral health. With a wealth of experience, Marie dedicated over 20 years to diligently serving and directing the Broward County Public Schools’ Employee Assistance Program (EAP). In this role, she demonstrated her exceptional leadership abilities through programming aimed at employee engagement, impactful presentations, and providing comprehensive services focused on promoting emotional well-being.
In the aftermath of the devasting mass shooting that occurred at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14, 2018, Mrs. English-Arterberry (Marie), was charged with the responsibility of spearheading the comprehensive response, and recovery efforts for Broward County Public School’s vast workforce of over 30,000
employees. Tasked with the objective of formulating, conceptualizing, and implementing a range of extensive initiatives, Marie took command, ensuring the development and execution of services focused on facilitating stabilization and improving the mental health of both primary and secondary victims within the District.
Marie is an impassioned content creator, dynamic presenter, and strong advocate for a holistic approach to mental wellness. Her presentation expertise includes a diverse array of subjects, including, the significance of self-care, methods to prevent burnout, effective crisis management strategies, techniques for conflict resolution, the interplay between the mind and body, and much more. With a commitment to meaningful connections, she passionately delivers her presentations, aiming to skillfully assist her audiences in transforming information into actionable steps.
Marie is a licensed clinical social worker. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Florida Memorial College and holds a master’s degree in clinical social work from Barry University. Currently, in addition to her own private practice, Time 4U Counseling and Consulting LLC, she is the Principal Consultant for Solution Behavioral Health Consulting Group, LLC
Marie is deeply committed to serving the well-being of her community. She currently serves as a Board Member of The Delta Educational and Life Development Foundation (DELDF), an organization dedicated to public and community service. She is an avid contributor to their strong mission. Marie is also a current Board Member of the Broward County FL Chapter of the Commission on the Status of Women, focused on raising awareness and celebrating the contributions and successes of women county wide. Previously, Marie served as Board Member for the South Florida Society for Trauma-Based Disorders (SFSTBD). Here she served for many years in several roles, including the role as President, Educational Chair and Member-At-Large. Service in this organization characterized her dedication to enhancing the professional knowledge of mental health experts through valuable training opportunities.
