Why the diverse representation of people, the specific flags, and the lotus flower appear in our logo.
Our logo is representative of diverse groups of people and incorporates the Pan African and the Pride flag cradled in a lotus flower. This is to convey honor, inclusivity, recognition and support for all people, and specifically for people of color and LGBTQIA+ individuals. The Center for Family and Community Restoration (CFCR) stands in solidarity with marginalized communities in their struggles for equality and justice.
The lotus flower is a symbol of peace, overcoming adversity, enlightenment, and rebirth in many cultures and religions. We use the lotus flower as a cradle or support, at the base of the logo, to serve as a reminder of our ability as humans to thrive and overcome challenges and adversity.
