
Michaelle Valbrun-Pope, MS.Ed
Michaelle Valbrun-Pope is, first and foremost, a public servant. Her service in the community plays out on a personal and professional level. She serves as a volunteer on several local and national advisory boards. She is a certified mind-body medicine skills facilitator, supporting individual and group healing. She is currently the Executive Director of The Center for Family and Community Restoration, a nonprofit organization working to advance the health and wellness of marginalized populations in South Florida. Her past professional roles include Chief Operating Officer of The Valbrun Consulting Group, Senior Advisor & Whole Child Developer with New Teacher Center, and Chief of Student Support Initiatives and Recovery with Broward County Public Schools. Prior to these posts Michaelle worked in various school-based and district leadership roles for Broward County Public School and for New York City Public Schools.
Michaelle was responsible for development and implementation of recovery efforts in the aftermath of the
Marjory Stoneman Douglass shooting in Broward County, Florida. She collaborated with local and national organizations to support the short and long-term grief recovery of students and families directly impacted, the school community and the larger Broward community.
Michaelle is a certified educational trainer with expertise in the areas of diversity, equity and inclusion, racial justice, restorative practices, social emotional learning, educational leadership, and mind-body medicine. She has a passion for serving underserved and marginalized communities and has spent her entire career advocating and working on behalf of children and families.
